EU-South Africa Trade

Review of the TDCA
(Trade, Development and Cooperation Agreement)
between the European Union and South Africa

The European Commission is undertaking a study, in close cooperation with the South African Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), to review the changes in trade flows between the two areas since the mid-90s and assess the impact of the tariff reductions implied by the agreement.

In the context of this study, two research and consulting companies (TAC in Europe, and Whitehouse & Associates in South Africa) are conducting a survey among companies active in trade either from Europe to South Africa or from South Africa to Europe.

This survey will be a key element in the assessment, and your participation is of great value to the exercise. The closing date for answering is November 10, 2004.

Please select the relevant questionnaire (one is for companies based to Europe and exporting to South Africa, and the other is for companies in South Africa exporting to Europe) and answer the different questions by clicking where appropriate. When you have completed, just click on the ‘submit’ button.

As a reward for your participation, you will receive the full results of the survey when it is completed (end of 2004).

For your information, an official introductory letter from the EU delegation in South Africa can be downloaded by clicking here.
